MISTLE THRUSH BABY

This little Mistle thrush was brought into the sanctuary a few days ago after being found on the ground, under threat of cat attack. After a little gentle persuasion, he started to gape and feeding began every 2 hours.

I named him socks simply because I put a rolled up soft sock in with him for company. Socks is thriving and is practicing flying in the flight room. He is reluctant to eat on his own, so work in progress !

He has made friends with Maisie, the sanctuary hen boss.
