A lady rang me to say she had found a small white bird on a football pitch that had an injured eye and could not fly. I asked if it was a Gull but the lady said no, so I agreed to take it.
It is a Gull !
I do not usually take them but could see he had a nasty eye injury. I have had to construct temporary accommodation, as he will need to build up strength to be able to fly. He is eating well and is lively but his eye injury is a concern, so he will be with me for some time.
I am pleased to say that, after just over a month, I have been able to release this little bird and hopefully he will keep out of trouble.
